This course will help real estate practitioners represent and counsel buyers by assessing buyers’ needs and wants, as well as preparing them to make informed decisions. The instructor will help licensees understand the obligations to fully explain MN agency relationships and the option available to buyers. The class will also cover the requirements of Federal Fair Housing laws and best practices.

Meet John Anderson: John has been a licensed REALTOR® since 1980 and is a broker/owner of Twin Oaks Realty in Crystal. John brings extensive real estate experience to the classroom, both in residential transactions and in the rental/leasing markets. He holds the CRB, CRS, ARB, E-Pro, GRI and SFR designations.

This course will help real estate professionals understand the practices of negotiating on behalf of, and in the best interests of, their real estate clients in the purchase, sale, or lease of real property. Students will learn how to understand the needs, concerns, priorities and motivations of parties to the negotiation in order to better serve the interests of their clients.

A: Licenses are issued for a two (2) year period and must:
be renewed by June 30;
all requirements for renewal, including continuing education requirements, have been completed by June 15th of the renewal year; and
the application has been submitted in a manner prescribed by the commissioner.
A licensee may not continue to transact business if they have not received notice of approval.
Practice Tip: To ensure that the DOC has enough time to process your continuing education information, it is a good idea to have all of your course completion information submitted by June 1st. This is especially vital in the situation of a government shutdown.
