How You Can Help After the Northland Floods

REALTORS® Helping REALTORS®  after the Duluth-Area Flood

Imagine what your life would be like tomorrow if your home, your car and all of your personal possessions were swept away in a flood. This is the nightmare some homeowners and REALTORS® are facing in many parts of Northeastern Minnesota.

FEMA is currently in the Northland, assessing the damage from last week’s historic flooding. If FEMA determines there is more than $7 million in public property damage (which is likely to be the case), FEMA will pay 75 percent of the rebuilding costs. The state will come up with the rest. Hundreds of volunteers have been helping clean up areas in and around Duluth – including the Lake Superior zoo.
