Continuing Education for REALTORS®

Classes for REALTORS® in Minnesota

Here at the Minnesota Association of REALTORS®, providing quality education on the issues is an important part of our work. We’ll cover everything from Agency Law, Ethics, Fair Housing, Forms, Industry Change, Legal Liability and Legislative Updates each year.

Continuing education is a critical part of being a real estate professional. Minnesota REALTORS® are required to complete 30 hours of continuing education in each licensing cycle (1 hour of agency and 1 hour of Fair Housing included). 15 of those hours need to be completed in the first year of that licensing cycle. There is also a mandatory module of 3.75 hours that must be completed by June 30, 2012.

Because members have already paid membership dues, Minnesota REALTORS® offers all education at cost. You can also take approved continuing education courses online. These online classes let you start, stop, repeat or advance any part of the course. Click here for more information about continuing REALTOR eduction online. New this year, you can also now take the pre-license real estate courses online.

The Minnesota Association of REALTORS® also sponsors unique programs throughout the year. These include Legislative Impact Day and Education Extravaganzas. These events feature interesting guest speakers, unique course outlines and perspective on issues that affect your business. Legislative Impact Day is coming up quickly on February 23 at RiverCentre in St. Paul. If you haven’t registered already, you can online. House Speaker Kurt Zellers, Senate Majority Leader Dave Senjem and Revenue Commissioner Myron Frans will be attending as well.

There are several education opportunities coming up that we wanted to make sure real estate professionals in Minnesota are aware of.
